CHOOSING THE CORRECT FRAME SIZE

TT Geometry

Time Trial (TT) and Triathlon bikes are designed for speed. That’s why they have an aero design, TT bars, aero wheels and a low front end. It’s more important than ever to get the right size TT bike so that you’re in the most aerodynamic riding position. It’s especially important if you’re racing over long distances.

What's the right bike size?

This handy chart shows you the right size of TT bike you need based on your height. Measure your height accurately and check the manufacturer’s measurements too.

How to measure for yourself

If you would like a more accurate measurement:

  • Stand up straight with bare feet.
  • Position your feet approximately 200mm apart.
  • Place a tube with a diameter of approx. 35mm firmly up into the crutch until you can feel it against the bone.
  • Measure the distance in cm from the floor to the top of the tube. Be sure to take a measurement from the front and rear for complete accuracy.
  • Add the 2 measurements together and then divide by 2. The result is your inside leg measurement.
  • Next multiply the inside leg measurement by 0.64 and this will give you your ideal frame size.
